About The Company

FIT, A Schlumberger Company, is a petroleum industry service company that specializes in laboratory analysis of trapped fluids in rock material, and advanced borehole gas analysis on drilling wells. The ultimate goal of these services is to enable clients to address petroleum systems and reservoir characterization problems.

FIT was acquired by Schlumberger, Inc. in November 2015 and is apart of the Schlumberger Reservoir Laboratories family.

About The Employees

Wells Shentwu

Wells Shentwu is Laboratory Manager for FIT.

Wells received his B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.

He worked at Amoco for 5 years prior to starting FIT and served as an accountant and general operations manager for FIT for 18 years

Don Hall

Don Hall is the Domain Champion for FIT.

Don received B.S. (1982) and M.S. (1985) degrees in geology from the University of California at Riverside, and a Ph.D. (1989) in geology from Virginia Tech. He joined Amoco Production Research in 1990 as a research scientist and worked on development and implementation of novel fluid inclusion instrumentation and techniques.

Don worked for FIT developing and promoting focused research and rock/fluid-based analytical programs to help address hydrocarbon exploration and production problems for 18 years.

Mike Sterner

Mike Sterner is the Scientific Advisor for FIT.

Mike has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Geology from Virginia Tech.

Previously, he was a senior research scientist at Pacific Northwest Laboratory where he was involved in thermodynamic modeling of electrolyte solutions. He served as the head of research and development at FIT for 18 years.

Michelle Ouchana

Michelle Ouchana is the Integration Manager for FIT.

Michelle has a B.S. in Production Management (2009) from the Universidade Salesiana in Brazil

With 15 years of Schlumberger experience, she is responsible for coordinating activity between both businesses to ensure a successful and smooth transition among various business functions. She is also responsible for reviewing existing processes and designing new processes to ensure such integration has no impact on daily operations.
